HAPPY BIRTHDAY GM2!!

Exactly one year ago today, at this exact minute, we made our first post was made welcoming everyone to our new blog, Gamer Mania 2. And now 364 posts and 16,834 hits later we're still going strong. Ton and I are both proud to say that we run Gamer Mania 2, which now is viewed from all over the world. So, we wanna say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY GM2! Now to sing the song to the tune of the Birthday Song:

Emergence Day is coming

Regardless of whether or not it was the big announcement, the Gears of War release date has been confirmed. The game's publisher, Microsoft, today announced that "Emergence Day," when the game will be available in North American stores, will take place on Sunday, November 12, of this year. UK stores will begin selling the game November 17.

Gears of War will be available in two packages: a $59.99 standard edition and a $69.99 limited edition. The more expensive version will feature metallic packaging, a Destroyed Beauty art book, and an extra DVD with a "making of" video.

Great way to counter the PS3 launch MS! It's no Halo 3, still a very popular game though. Definitely predictable, but nice to hear it confirmed. So... yeah.. very cool limited edition too, I'll be getting that one for sure.. No one knows if this is the "big" announcement that Epic said would be coming this week, but I'm almost sure it was.
